Welcome, and Happy New Year!

Tomorrow is a new year and a new day.  As Lucy Maud Montgomery (the author of Anne of Green Gables) once said, “Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?”  I certainly think so.

TODAY IS THE BIRTHDAY OF THIS BLOG, The Joy of Nesting, and this is my very first post in it.  It is not, however, my first blog.  That would be “The Joy of Variety.”

When I first created The Joy of Variety, I thought it would be a nice way to gather all of my thoughts and ideas while learning new things from others. This did in fact happen but what I didn’t expect was the difficulty of having so many different types of interests all in one place.  It was difficult for readers to classify me.

On that note, I decided to break up The Joy of Variety into four new and separate “subblogs”:  The Joy of the Pen, The Joy of Faith, The Joy of Nesting and The Joy of Citizenship.  Each will focus on their own individual themes.

These subblogs are also accessible via the links in the Main Menu above.  For now, I plan to keep The Joy of Variety up and running.  I don’t know yet if it will eventually be abandoned or if it will evolve into something else.

I hope this makes sense.  I just did all this today so there may still be a bit of tweaking going on.  Your feedback, particularly about problems, would be appreciated.

Have a blessed year,

Cynthia Triplett
